Haul: Second visit to the L'Oreal Warehouse Sale

Hi everyone,
Just before the end of the sale, I went one last time... I got a ticket through my bf's mom. She was receiving them from her work! ^^

Here are the products I got the second time I went.

  • Biotherm face multi-protection sun cream SPF 50
  • L'Oreal extra-volume collagen mascara
  • Maybelline Instant Age Rewind
  • Biotherm Homme gift set

My man has been using this product ever since I got him a set for his birthday 5 years ago! I'm so glad he's still using it and doesn't think it's too much "work" for him in the morning/night. I do see improvement in his skin ever since he started using this. I never see flaky dry skin any more! He likes the AquaPower Oligo-thermal care ultra moisturizing (in gel) because it is fast absorbent and doesn't feel oily. I try to grab this moisturizer for him every time I go to the Sale!

I'll be back soon with swatches of the products I got from my other hauls! Stay tuned!
Till next time...~

Haul: Marcelle and Annabelle Warehouse Sale

Hi Ladies,
I'm back from the Marcelle and Annabelle Warehouse Sale. I went on Friday after work from the airport since the sale was like 7mins away from work. I thought that going there 30mins before closing would be a good time, but there was a HUGE line up. And the line up for the cash was extremely long too, because they only had 3 cashiers to process all the purchases which was not enough in my opinion. The place was really small and crowded too.

I find the price for the makeup are extremely affordable:
  • All Marcelle makeup products were at $2.50 each
  • All Annabelle makeup products were at $1.50 each
Here's what I got...
  • Annabelle Eyeshadow Palette in C'est Show, Drama Queen and Natural Nomade.
  • Marcelle Paparazzi Multi-Colour Eye Palette
  • Marcelle Colour Cube Powder Blush
  • Marcelle Aquatic Dome Bronzing Powder
  • Annabelle Studio Mono Eyeshadowin Jazzberry, B-ray, Revolver and Vivd Violet
  • Annabelle Studio Custom Quad Refillable Compact (free with 4 mono eyeshadows)
  • Annabelle Eye Makeup Remover Cloths (5 packs for $1.50)
  • Marcelle Liquid Eyeliner Pen in Very Black
  • Annabelle Smudge Liner in Extra Celestial
I did purchase some extras of these products for future giveaway! ^^

Onto a close up of the products

Drama Queen

Natural Nomade

C'est Show

All very pretty colors

I find the Multi-Blush can be of different use. You have pretty pinks, corals, and bronzy color which can be used separately or all together. Very versatile. The Bronzer gives a very natural finish to your face with pink undertones. As for the eyeshodow, the colors are just gorgeous!

Sigh, I really need to get a better camera that can capture the beauty of these colors... Any recommendations?

On a side note, I found the skincare prices at the sale were not "wow". I was going to get a few of their Marcelle Essentials Gentle Makeup Remover for Sensitive Eyes, but they were selling them for $8 each. I found them at Wal-Mart at $13 for 2.
YAY for finding even better deals!

The sale also had Marcelle mascara that I've always wanted to try, but they were all out of their boxes and you see people pulling the wand out from the tub and all. Very not sanitary!

I will do reviews/swatches of these products when I get a chance to use them!
Hope you like this haul ^^
Till next time...~

Birthday weekend - Outfits, gifts and cakes

Hi Ladies,
so as promised, I will share with you the outfits I wore for my birthday, the gifts I received and my cakes! ^^

First I will start with the cakes that I boyfriend bought for me on the day of my birthday. Since my birthday was on a week day, we celebrated my birthday on the weekend. On the day of my birthday, he got me all my favorite cakes at Premiere Moisson. I prefer that he gets me pieces of cake with variety than getting me a whole cake which I can never finish.
  • Black forest
  • Tiramisu
  • Strawberry cheese cake
  • Creme brule

Onto my outfits... this is the first outfit I put together to go out with my girlfriends. A dark grey dress paired with a 3/4 pattern top. (My mirror is a bit dirty... sorry about that)

The second outfit is a black dress with pretty details on the collar paired with a green/turquoise cardigan.

For makeup, I did a simple look to match with the outfits. I'm still not that good with taking makeup pictures, but it looks prettier in person!

Then onto the gifts. I guess the fact that we're getting older and pickier, my family gave me money! In some ways, it's more practical this way so I can go get whatever I like. A few close friends got me the following:
Body Truffles set
  • Silky caress body creme in Fudge Brownie
    • Like the lightest touch from a delicate veil our Fudge Brownie body creme will cover your skin in a velvety layer of softness. The rich and luxurious blend of Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, Vitamin E and Cocoa Butter will melt into your skin leaving it irresistibly silky sold to the touch.
  • Melting delight body bar in Fudge brownie
    • This luxurious, ultra-hydrating butter bar glides across your body leaving a lightly scented trail of intoxicating Fudge Brownie while soothing your dry skin with Cocoa Seed Butter, Shea Butter and Coconut Oil.
  • Stolen kiss lip butter in Fudge Brownie
    • A deliciously flavored, tinted lip butter to soothe and moisturize dry lips.

At first, I actually thought it was some kinky body chocolate stuff, but they're actually creams.

Another friend got me the following:
  • Cuccio naturale Milk & Honey butter blend set
  • Kahlua chocolates
  • Lindt petits desserts
The set contains:
  • Body Butter
    • A non-oily, intense hydrating treatment for silky smooth skin. Patented 24 hour time-release emollients moisturize skin every 2 hours.
  • Sea salts
    • Rich in minerals, natural sea sats gently exfoliate to reveal softer and silkier skin, while milk and honey extracts provide soothing and moisturizing properties.
  • Cuticle Conditioning Butter Stick
    • Moisturizes, conditions and repairs dry cuticles with Shea Butter, Olive and Jojoba Oils. No oily residue and 24 hour hydration.
  • Scentual Spa Elixir
    • Create an alluring aromatherapy environment. Use as a room spray or spray directly on linens and towels.

The scent of these products is sooo soothing and relaxing. The scent of spa! I will do reviews of them when I start using them, but it will take a while. I don't like starting new products when I still have something similar which is opened. I'll have to finish up my open products before starting these ones...
Till next time...~

Review: Softlips Tinted Lip Balm

Hi Ladies,
Before I share with you my Birthday gifts and outfits, I'd like to share with you something I recently got. It's the Softlips Tinted Lip Balm in Naturally Nude.

I must say that it really sucks that we cannot see the color of the product before purchasing, but I got it anyways. I've always LOVE Softlips products and I was pretty confident that this would not be an exception. And I was totally right.

Although it says to be a Natually Nude color, it's actually a very pretty light pink, almost coral color tinted lip balm with a hint of gold. The pictures don't give it justice because you will die for it if you see it in person!!! It is also very moisturizing like it claims. I think this is the perfect color for the summer! ^^

What it claims:
Adds an elegant hint of colour while moisturizing lips. The smooth, glide-on formula is enriched with Vitamin E, Lanolin Oil, Meadowfoam Seed Oil and Mango Seed Butter, plus Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate which provides superior moisture retention.

Lastly, a swatch...

*Isn't it sooooooo pretty?*
Till next time...~
