Small brush haul!

Hey Beautifuls,

Today, when I went to check the mail I was surprised to see that my order has arrived!! SOOOO HAPPY! I recently made an order from "The Makeup Mix Shop". There's not a big selection on this site, but what I like about it is that it's free shipping with purchase of $20 and more. It's hard to get things online when shipping is usually sooooooo expensive to Canada!!

Here's what I got...

  1. Ecotools 6 piece eye brush set
  2. Ecotools retractable kabuki
  3. Elf studio powder brush
  4. Elf eyeshadow brush
Ecotools brush are sooo much cheaper on the site compared to drugstores. I got the 6 piece eye brush set for $9.99 and the retractable kabuki for $8.50. I believe if I purchased these items in drugstores it would have cost me $15.99 each. I already own a few Ecotools brushes and I absolutely love them! They are sooooo soft!!

As for the Elf brushes... well I've always wanted to tried them out and since my purchase was not quite over $20 yet, I decided to get the 2 Elf brushes. They are AMAZINGLY soft!!! I'm glad that through this site I was able to check them out. I'll still have to see where I can get some Elf brushes, but with a low shipping fee, because I believe it's like $15 just for shipping which is ridiculous!!!! Let me know if anyone knows a website that I can purchase Elf brushes with low shipping fee!!! ^^

Till next time...~

Review: The Falsies Volum'Express from Maybelline

Hey Beautifuls,

I went to Pharmaprix a few days ago and saw that Maybelline has come up with a new mascara call "The Falsies Volum'Express". I saw it on sale for $3.99, which was an awesome buy and a great price to try out a new mascara.

What it claims:
  • Unique flexible wand helps to lift and separate lashes to provide the look of more lashes
  • Patented Spoon brush and Kera-fiber formula instantly build 8x more volume without clumping to complete the false lash look
  • Ophthalmologist tested
I only have on Almay eyeliner in Black. So here are my lashes without anything:

And here are my lashes with The Falsies:

My verdict:
  • I do love the Spoon brush
  • It keeps my curls intact for the whole day
  • Does extend my lashes
BUT:
  • Does clump if not applied carefully
  • Need to apply several coats quickly because it does try out pretty fast
Would I purchase again? Yes, only if it's on sale for $3.99!!! =p
Till next time...~

Revlon Nail Polish in Gray Suede & Touch of Mauve

Hey Everyone,

I purchased these 2 shades of nail polish not long and I'm starting to like it! The first one is in Gray Suede. Although the name color suggest that it's somewhat a grayish color, I would say it's more of a nude color. OK, maybe there's a hint of gray in it... ^^ But in certain lighting, I think there's a hint of pink in it too!

Can you see the slight difference in color?!?! None the less, a very pretty color!

Second color that I bought was in Touch of Mauve. I must say the color is very similar to my L'Oreal Paris nail polish in Sand Castle, but there's slight differences. Touch of Mauve is more of a matte color as for Sand Castle is more shimmery.
